What makes the card go bad..
|
A lot of factors, heat, damage, dropping it, etc.

.had it with the old phone and new one

So it obviously has been used for a while, an old card is likely to fail.

I did check it out on the comp and just the few random pics show up on the comp...so how do I back it up?
|
Well you obviously can't backup everything after the card is bad. Backing up is preventative maintenance, it needs to be done before something happens.
The files that you can see on the card, just drag them off the card onto somewhere on your computer.

And should I continue using the same card cause its working fine now or should I get a new one?
|
Well you said you could only see random files, meaning the card probably still isnt working correctly. And whether or not to re-use it is your decision. Keep in mind, if it failed once, it will fail again. It all depends on how important your data is. Personally, I would spend 20 bucks and buy a new one, to insure my data is safer.
