so everyone knows that you can download apps from the app store and download movies/music/books ect from itunes. but what about android? is there an app that allows you to purchase movies and music?

The newly updated official Android Market sells music and movies and books.

They are rolling it out now but it may take awhile for your phone to do the update, it's probably rolling out in stages....

Movies are not on it until your phone receives the update.

Well, I just got the new OTA update, I was more wondering what to search under the market to download the new market app is what I mean, unless thats another OTA update incoming.

An ota update is probably for your phone OS, not the market. And you don't search the market to update the market. It will update on its own when google pushes the update to your phone.

Again, you have to WAIT. Google is pushing out the update to devices over the next few days. Just be patient.
