I have just bought a Sony S1 tablet and found that it does not play MKVs by default (shame as my entire film library is in mkv.....). I downloaded moboplayer and doubletwist which both say they handle mkv. They play fine for about 30 secs and then the film glitches briefly and the sound stops. If I skip to a bit later in the film the sound starts again for about 10 secs and then glitches and stops again. I have tried re-encoding the films with the prologic channel as a higher priority that the dts but the same thing happens.

If I encode as an m4v everything works fine..... However I would like to explore other possible options before I spend the next 3 months re-encoding my film library to m4v.

Does anyone have any ideas?
