Default Android to HDTV--No HDMI

After looking all over for an answer, with no luck, I will just ask myself and hopefully get this settled once and for all everyone else with this issue.

So, I want to play songs from my external SD card on my Viore HDTV and my Vizio HDTV. I have tried a red and white to AUX cord and the basic USB charging cord, with no luck. My phone (a Samsung Intercept, yuck) doesn't recognize the phone (all though I get a charge), nor does my phone give the option to mount the SD card.

All I want to know is if I can access and play and media from my phone from an HDTV? Is it possible? And how? Please help, this has been frustrating to say the least

Does your HDTV has USB connectivity? I am able to access the media in my phone SD card by connecting through USB from my Samsung LCD tv as well as my car audio player.

If your TV are DLNA compliant, you can use Samsungs AllShare app on your phone to stream your media to your TV over your home WIFI system. You might have that app on your phone already as my Charge came with it.

I purchased a LG 55" HDTV LED 3D Smart TV just before Christmas last year. The TV is awesome. Anyway, before I purchased it, I wanted to get the best deal I could. I considered buying a sepsrate "LG Smart TV" module, the ST600, to directly hook-up to a regular HDTV so I could get connectivity to the internet, netflix, etc.

Anyway, if your HDTV is not compatible with the AllShare App, then an alternative is to purchase the "LG Smart TV" module for $70, and then you should be able to ultilize the AllShare App.

I did quite a bit of research before buying the LG HDTV, and I found that the LG Smart TV interface was considered the best on the market.
