Are you sure they're deleted? Plug your phone into your computer and do a search of the SD card to see if they might have just been misplaced somewhere or if for some reason they just aren't showing up on the phone. If you can find them, moving them to your computer and then back again to the phone might make them show up.

Good luck. You should keep the media on your phone backed up on your computer in any case.

In addition to what dogbertus suggests, you could try recovering any deleted files using a utility such as Recuva. Ideally you'll try this sooner rather than later so you avoid overwriting the deleted files on disc/card.

I agree with joggy. If you can't see them with your PC then get a good data recovery program. I use Handy Recovery. Bet you'll be able to get a lot of them back.

If you do then make a backup!! You don't have to use some fancy backup program, just copy all the files to your PC.

Are the files deleted from the phone or the computer? I screwed up and deleted my entire iTunes folder a few weeks back off my Windows 7 computer. Talk about stomach in the mouth experience!

Anyway, I wondered if I could do a system restore. That failed. Said could not hook up or find Drive C: So, I said BS, if C were not there, the computer would not work.

I opened up My Computer and brought up C Properties. There is a tab there Previous Versions. I opened up one of the older Previous versions and there was all my music. I just drug the iTunes folder to another explorer window and BOOM I had my stuff back.

So at least on the computer, anything you delete is still there in your Restore point previous versions, or whatever that is called technically and you can retrieve the entire disk if you need to or just certain files or folders you want back.
