Default Im having problems with playing videos :( Please help me.

Hey guys, Im having an issue with my HTC Desire that i cannot fix. I traded in my Ipod touch to get a HTC Desire as i was sick of the constant converting of movies/videos to MP4.

Basically i need to have movies or tv shows on my phone for when im in bed as the Wife hates the tv being on and i have trouble sleeping. However the issue i am having is with the way the videos play. I currently have Mobo player and MX player and i have also tried alot of others. I have both of these players because sometimes MX player does not play the sound on some files but Mobo Player will, but thats not the problem.

The problem i am having is a quality issue i think, Its not that my files are bad quality as this happens with every single file iput on the there, I have also tried converting and still no fix. What happens is it seems like everything is moving in slow motion, When its not ( That sounds wierd i know) Like i can see every single frame. If there is quick movements like someone moves their hand real fast its a blur. Im not sure if i have explained this very well but its the best i can do.

Does Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? As im currently wishing i never traded my ipod touch I have tried converting but they are the same.

Is there a Video player i have missed that can fix this? Would using doubletwist fix it? Currently i just drag and drop the files into the video folder.

Thanks for your time.

Maybe it's the phone CPU isn't up to playing the videos you have. Maybe they're at a higher resolution than you need for your phone. Maybe the bit rate is too high.

I use WinAvi for video conversion. It has plenty of options for customizing the conversion result. For my Vibrant I use:
800x480 resolution
H.264 video codec
Frame rate same as source
1500 kbps average bit rate
AAC audio codec
Stereo mixdown
Sample rate 48
Bitrate 160

Sounds like an old laptop I had with like a 300Mhz processor - tried playing movies on it with similar results to yours.

Hope this helps.
