Default Galaxy S2 - music stores to wrong memory?

Ive recently got a Galaxy S2 and Im having trouble transferring music from my pc onto it.

If I put files into the music folder then they are picked up when i open music player no problems, this however uses the 2gb or so of system storage available.

If I save files to the usb storage folder which has around 12gb available, then they are not picked up in music player and I can only access them by going into my files and through the folders, this is also a problem as doing it this way means that if I try to play an album it will only play a single track and not continue to the next track.

As I am considering buying a large memory card so I can store quite alot of music on the phone, I was hoping there would be somewhere or way of storing music somewhere to use the bulk of the memory and extra memory when I get it, but so that it will also get picked up in music player.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Media files can be stored anywhere. The actual folder name isn't important as both internal and external memory is scanned during startup (or whenever an external card is remounted) and any media files should be identified and added. Create the folder in /sdcard/external_sd (if using a file manager app) or in the appropriate removable drive (if using a computer with the handset mounted); the "USB storage" folder isn't actually a valid location although it appears to refer to the same volume.

I was confused just as you are. The problem resides in the naming of the folder and the name you see in the Storage screen.
