Default Live TV

Anyone know of any Live TV apps or at least websites for Android, I really need one that has Channel 4/E4 and it needs to have UK channels. Somthing like tvcatchup.co.uk . And yes, I know about beebplayer, but that's just BBC.

Tvcatchup.com is supposed to be developing an android app. That allows you to watch any freeview channel in the UK

An android SeeSaw client would be very useful.

I have tried orb tv but could never get it to work, at all...I also wanted to watch fancast.com but cannot due to no flash on the hero..I tried different browsers, apps and settings, etc etc.no go. I hate this because I miss streaming to my phone like i could before. Sling box will not port to android, they say it will not work on Linux based os because it cannot run native, at least that is how i understood their answer.

I will grow old and die before i even get the old apps i used to use on my other phone working on my hero.

For now, it's not live but there is

TBS for tbs

ABC for abc

http://m.nbc.com for nbc

Hopefully they will help somewhat.

What confuses me is youtube is flash 10.1 and so is Hulu, which fancast uses to play their video, so what is the difference in not being able to see the fancast video? anyone know?

No mobile platform has flash 10.1 yet.

Youtube has special app & website adapted for mobile use, thats why it works. Don't expect Hulu to work even with flash 10.1, they have blocked mobile browsers from accessing their site for some unknown reason.

Yeah, apparently their content providers are forcing them to block all mobile browsers, and the PS3:

Content Owners Force Hulu To Block Mobile Browsers As Well

Hulu still silent on PS3, Windows Mobile blocking - but there's a free solution

Channel 4's 4OD service has it's own channel on YouTube. Not live but shows do get added soon after broadcast.

I have my Hero tethered to my PC via usb and am running Firefox with a TV-Fox add on. It lets me watch good live TV from around the world. I'm hoping that when we get the mobile Firefox maybe we can use this to watch live TV on the Hero. One last note: it uses a lot of bandwidth (I think I downloaded 400MB in 20 minutes of watching a German channel) good picture on my 26" LCD High Def monitor.

Default UK TV Channels for Android

Hello,

I have just purchased my android smart TV box and was seeking apps for BBCiplayer, ITV player and the channel 4 player. I wondered if anyone knew of an android app for UK players

The smart tv that I have is this one -->
Smart TV Entertainment Box Powered by Android : Media Adaptors : Maplin Electronics

Also why do you not get full youtube facility via the android? Do I require another app to enable me to see full working youtube and not mobile app youtube?

Many thanks in advance.
