I have a video recording that plays well on the smartphone and was successfully uploaded to Facebook, but when I transfer the recording to another device (tried both my desktop and laptop) the file transfers the video but does not contain the audio recording. Is there a setup option or file transfer option I am missing?

I'm not sure what player your using on your PC, but this sounds like a codec issue.

You could try a player like Media Player Classic, VLC (Video lan player) or KMplayer, to see if you get sound through one of those.
