Default Cloud storage for music

So I'm new to the android platform and I'm looking to see If I can copy my iTunes to some type of cloud platform rather than saving it straight to my phone. Someone had mentioned that google play music is cloud based but I'm not entirely sure. I've got a US one x which has a whopping 9gb of storage for all of my Crap which is why I'd like to move to the cloud if possible.

Thanks in advance

Amazon MP3 has a cloud & Dropbox is a cloud. Both are free, up to a certain amount of space.
