any other ap that will play movies purchased or rented on google play?

Is there any other ap that will play movies that I purchased or rented on google play? The play movies ap does not work over half the time. I read the reviews of the ap and it seems many others are having the same problem. I would like to use the service to rent or buy an occasional movie, but I will not waste my money if that ap is my only option. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you buy a movie and have it downloaded to YOUR device there shouldn't be any issues playing it with another player.

You can't stream them using another app

I've gone NUTS with renting movies and buying my favorite shows on Google Play. The Play Movies app does well on my GS3 and I like the design but it DOES need work, and I'm fairly certain you can't download the file to your phone, it does need to be streamed through Play Movies ... have you tried accessing the movie's page on Google Play app and hitting the button that says "Play"? Doesn't that run your stock video player?
