Default Transition from Apple and Itunes

It is something I have thought about for a long while, moving from Iphone to Samsung. I currently have an Iphone 4 that is coming up for an upgrade in June and I am unimpressed with the Iphone 5. I am therefore seeing what is launched between now and June on Samsung, but the biggest hurdle I need to get over is my music library.

I have 90 GB of music on my laptop which I sync with iTunes. Because I have so much I use the check boxes in iTunes to manage what goes on to the phone but i do not delete what is not checked as i still want it for a later date on my hard drive.

I have looked at using Google music and also looked at other third party apps. I have a Samsung galaxy Tab 10.1 so i can look at some of the apps and try them out but I am still unable to find an identical solution that iTunes offers.

The only idea I can see is instead of use check boxes in iTunes i use the online/offline selection tool in Google music instead and manage it that way.

I would therefore like peoples thoughts on my alternatives but also let me know other apps of solutions I have not thought off

iTunes sounds very restrictive to me. I object to installing something which basically duplicates what I already have (media player).

I've got all my MP3s stored on my home network on a network share.
I just use my phone to browse to the share over wifi & copy what I want onto my SD card.
It sounds far more complicated than it is!

I have had this issue, and only until now have I accepted it. Until now, I just attempted to alter my Apple ID that I use inside of iTunes for purchases (an unrelated email address to Apple), to my iCloud email address, to another iCloud email, all while retaining all the purchases I had made with my original Apple ID when I had altered the ID. I can now effectively use the email address of my preference to purchase new content from Apple while retaining all prior purchases I had made with a seperate account. Is this the answer we have all searched for to no avail? I know it's my answer, and I wished to share this with everyone that had previously encountered this issue, for I have not read of any others that had experienced my success.

Have you tried double twist? It appears to function similarly to iTunes.

I just copied everything you the google cloud. I also have a full SIM card for in the car.

Let me try this one out.

@indiekid007 Pretty bad to say that you can't just delete the songs on your playlist on iTunes. It's either you add songs or rewrite with another batch of songs. In your iphone, you have to do it manually by swiping the song to the left and pressing the delete button.
