Default 95% of Chinese android developer earns not a penn

It takes only 3 month for an android game, and 3 to 4 weeks for an android application, so many projects are done by students in China. Most people think their products are cool but nobody pay for them. Chinese people never pay for software.
Americans are willing to pay for an app but Chinese not. They use pirate, and over 75% of android users in China pay not a penny for an app. And Chinese developers dont know what the overseas markets like and cannot meet the requirements of Americans.
And the third reason is, plagiarizing. Chinese are expert in plagiarizing others ideas, so once a good idea and app comes out, there will be large amount of plagiarizers in China. For example, when android came out, oPhone soon emerged in China. When facebook came out, renren.com emerged. Chinese use renren.com instead of facebook, baidu.com instead of google, ophone instead of android , nokla instead of nokia. Chinese are lack of creativity.

Chinese pirate everything. Windows, iphone apps, android apps, movies, etc. As for the ophone instead of android...the ophone IS android, I think you mean ophone instead of iphone?

And they usually do a very good job plagiarizing too!

Joking aside, even stuff that's commonly used for pirating is plagiarized sometimes, like mod chips for game consoles! Online mod chip vendors frequently have warnings about making sure that your product isn't a plagiarized unit and to check for certain manufacturing features present on genuine devices which are usually absent from knock off ones. It's like a vicious cycle...

China has a booming industry of fake motorcycles, cars, designer clothing, cell phones and any electronics product you can name. It’s estimated that piracy contributes a third to China’s GDP.

"cannot meet the requirements of Americans"- the world doesn't revolve around America. Why would it need to meet the requirements of Americans? How narrow minded are you :/

Not so bad. Most iPhone developers in the US aren't making any money either: AppleInsider | 19% of software on Apple's App Store is paid, with $1.49 average price

Because it's freeware and they submit it for free. Not like iPhone, iPad app in iTunes Store

You need to meet the needs of Americans if you want to sell to Americans. It's a pretty big market - you'd be stupid to go to the effort of releasing an Android app and then ignoring it.

When I think of Chinese android apps I think of all the spam and crap which infests the Market as much as it infests usenet groups. Hopefully Google will fix this soon and all the `daily asian and european lovely girl` apps will disappear forever.

It would need to meet the requirements of the bulk of their market, in this case Americans, if they want to make money off of it or enjoy success in the American market with their software.
