Hmm. There is a "delay" in getting AMOLED displays out, especially to HTC Droid Incredible. Then comes this announcement that HTC is going with Sony's SLCD on all their upcoming phones including the Global Nexus One (good ole N1, down but not out!!!).
The funny thing is that the Sony SLCD is a joint venture between them and Samsung (makers of AMOLED). The SLCD improves battery life and the display can be read in sunlight...granted, I'm all for that! But, could it be that production was deliberately slowed on AMOLED in order to increase production on SLCD? If so, they at least stick to pattern - They stop support on one thing while churning out a plethora of others. Things that make you go Hmm...
