hey guys i am a longtime smartphone user but will be purchasing my first android device this weekend. I am on AT&T and happy with my service so my option is between the motorola cliq, g1, and mytouch all on tmobile i will be unlocking and using on ATT. i already know that i will be on edge and thats fine.

Here are my questions i have done extensive research on the mytouch and g1

why is it everone says the mytouch is so much faster when they have same ram and processor? and do apps save to the ram or rom?

i like the idea of using a keyboard so the g1 and cliq seem nice but i am not a fan of motorola devices is this one better than older models?

and finally this one i know will get a lot of different responses but what would you guys suggest out of those 3? i have owned an iphone 3g, 3gs and storm so touchscreen only is fine with me but keyboard is always nice. so please give me some insight.

and i have already searched all of these answers on this forum and others. thanks for all the help guys!! cant wait to be a android owner.

I moved your post to here ...because you have not narrowed down to a specific platform ...

One thing you ask is about G1 and the MyTouch ... your research is incorrect the MyTouch has more RAM so it runs faster with the same number of apps because there is more swap memory space within Faster RAM and the ROM does not have to serve as swap space ...

Try Asking platforms specific questions in the appropriate forum ...

well i wen on htc's website and tmobile and they both list it as 198mb of ram but i see the mytouch has more ROM
