AT&T Announces Samsung Infuse 4G with 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus Display
So here it is, folks: AT&T is jumping headfirst into 4G with the announcement of a slew of Android devices. OK, so they are taking cues from T-Mobile and simply labeling their HSPA+ 4G, but be that as it may the handsets to go along with it are quite simply amazing. The Samsung Infuse 4G [...]
nothing new here lol. they just threw in their Super AMOLED Plus screen and made it bigger to hopefully attract some people.
4.5" is way too big. i think 4.3" is too big. 4" is the sweet spot.
LG has the right idea
and their phone is going to KILL this one until Samsung devices with the Orion chip start dropping. don't think we'll see them until Q3/Q4 though because of GalaxyS line just being released.
so, beginning of this year, it's going to be LG Optimus 2X, then this Samsung device, and HTC in last again

Honestly anywhere from 4.3" to 5" is the sweet spot for me. Phones are doing more and more so it makes sense that screen sizes are getting bigger...some people don't want to carry both a phone and tablet so I see the "XL" phones as a decent compromise.

yeah, that makes sense. i'm not a tablet guy though. i still want a cellphone to be a moderate sized handset.
correction to my above post, apparently the LG Revolution is the Optimus 2X, but for US
To add the 4G Network will consist of HSPA+ combined with LTE, making AT&T's 4G coverage the greatest in the nation. It was good for us to wait and see what the other carriers would do.
The Inspire will utilize a new "Sense platform", the first in the US, which offers "cloud services" so users can track and/or remotely wipe a lost or stolen phone. Pretty doep.

1.2Ghz hummingbird and 1Ghx snapdragon is the past. All high end smartphones coming out this year should at the very least offer dual core processing. I don't think anyone can justify buying last year's technology at this year prices. I've been waiting to upgrade my unlocked Mytouch on AT&T and the Atrix looks like a very nice option.
I stopped drooling as soon as I noticed the word "Samsung" preceded "Infuse 4G"
Don't buy the hype, you'll still be stuck on Froyo when everybody else is on Key lime Pie
Ditto for Momo - Once bitten, twice shy! Not willing to be burned again by these guys.
I'm willing to give LG a shot. I like that they have integration with other home appliances of the brand. And that Optimus Black is sweeeeeet! I just wish they'd combine it with dual-core like the 2X.

this looks awesome. If Verizon has an iteration of this i'll probably jump on it. I could care less about how long it takes samsung to update because if i ever own a samsung device the ugly a$$ skin and stock ROM are the first things to go, never to be seen again lol
