It looks like they 'tested the waters' with the first IDEOS and the Ascend and reached the decision to really jump into the fray.

Everything I have read indicates that Huawei wants to offer the consumer a good product at a 'more fair' price. In a webcast this morning, Victor Xu, Huawei's chief marketing officer, said the phone will cost around $250 to $300.

I wonder who the lucky carrier will be?

PS...Just a FYI - When I ordered my Huawei Ascend online I had read that it 'felt cheap' by some critics. When it arrived I was amazed at how nice it was and my friends with elite phones were also shocked when we viewed them side by side. I think Huawei is going to rock the market!

Looks like a very, very decent phone. Actually am very interested to check it out. And the price is right too!
