Too little too late in my book! Every day Sprint waits to release an Android based phone is that many more customers they are loosing... Hell they lost my business (after 8 years) didn't even try to coerce me to stay... Then again, maybe they saw the G1 in my other hand when I turned in the Instinct and understood.

BTW: I still think the Instinct is a kick ass phone, especially it's OS keyboard with haptic feedback / clickity feedback; which I hope one day will be copied by the G1... ATTN Developers: please pick up a Instinct to see what I'm talking about.

GPS was spot on, turn by turn directions.

Too bad Sprint abandoned the app store / 3rd party development for the phone, I might still be a customer. Probably not

I think if people will stick with them through their years of lousy customer service (and when I say lousy, I mean "omfg, is everybody that works for spring a f***ing ******?), they'll probably stick through a period of time with no Android.

ok i am in the same boat as you right now...i have the touch pro and am deciding between that or the G1 that is in my hand right now as well. I like both phone but i dont like the fact that the G1 doesnt have a flash or video camera....do you think Tmobile will be fixing this and come out with an upgraded version of the G1 with flash and video camera?
