I haven't read anywhere that they were planning to exclude any plans from free wifi-calling...?

Great news... seems a risky move on their part, unless the large majority of the phones on their network aren't wifi-calling compatible... then it makes sense. Thankfully both of mine are (Vibrant and Optimus-T). With the spotty coverage in my house we were using it on both phones anyway. This is just icing on the cake.
