Users with rooted devices are greeted with a rage-inducing “Failed to fetch license…” error whenever they try to load a movie for viewing. Google has come out and flatly [...]

Wow, so dumb.

Another example of treating people as thieves.

If someone can root, I'm sure they know how to find movies. So now people who root have to pirate instead of pay.

Genius.

Gee this will last how long? There hasn't been a phone, program, or barrier that hackers can't get around. The movie studios and the MPAA are only making themselves look foolish.

Me either. Some think the studios were behind this. Phone is rooted, they lose control.

The only time I would use this is if I REALLY wanted to see a movie before it go onto Netflix. Otherwise, it's a waste of Google's time.

Way too expensive anyway for movies on a phone. But why would anyone copy a low res movie on a phone if there are much easier ways to download high quality movies?

So much for G's "Open" farce. But who cares. Netflix rocks!

Why is Sprint installing junk apps on my Android phone? | InSecurity Complex - CNET News

"Why is Sprint installing junk apps on my phone?"

Some like these apps, some don't.
I think it should be up to the customer as to what is on the phone. Especially if some of these apps use data in the background.

Personally, I don't even like movies. However, if you do, and you want to pay for the data - have at it.
