Is there an app for the text to be shown in full on the home screen if its too long, as opposed to it fading away at the end? HTC sensation 4G

Are you talking about icon labels? I don't know of anything that doesn't require root, which is what you generally need in order to change system fonts (unlike a customizable app/widget that allows you to set the font).

Not true. I'm using the Epic Touch, and there are many many font packs you can download and use without root.

It's just a matter of finding one small enough to be able to show the entire title of your icon. If you have an app with a ridiculously long name, then you're probably out of luck.
