GO Launcher EX Notification - Custom icons?

Hey,

I've noticed that the GO Launcher EX Notification app only works on stock shortcuts for me. When I add a custom icon the notifications don't show up anymore.

Is there anyway to get the notifications to be used with any icon i choose? This app is useless otherwise because the whole point of using GO Launcher was so that i could get use any icon i chose. There is probably an easy fix for this but i haven't found it.

I've been to Menu > Preferences > Advanced settings > Go Notification EX and ticked all the options i wanted. Still nothing. Didn't want to start a whole new thread for something this little but i don't there is an official GO launcher thread.

Odd. I still get the red bubble thing on my gmail when I get a new message. As well as on my SMS app, and both are using my own icons.

Dammit this sucks. Do the notifications work for the app draw? I tested it by creating a stock shortcut for my email, not gmail and it showed a little black and green bubble so it was working fine there although i put that on one of my homescreens, not the app drawer.

Hang on....

I'm using the GO Launcher EX Notification and my email has stopped notifying me. I get the usual audio notification and the mail symbol appears in the notification bar but no red bubble on my docker!!!

EDIT: Here's some text taken from the Description section of GO Launcher Notifications on the Market....

The Gmail app has updated to new version and the API we uses to access your Gmail in our Notification app is being removed in Gmail.
We will continue support Gmail notification if your Gmail app doesn’t update to the newest version. But once your Gmail is updated, the notification option will be removed from GO Launcher.

I updated my Gmaill to the latest version earlier today which is why I won't get Gmail notifications any more.

All the other notifications work fine.

Hmmm, well that explains the gmail one, fair enough. Going to call my phone from my home phone to see if i get a missed call notification on my GO Dialer shortcut.

Edit: It worked.. Must have been blind before. Hope GO find a fix for the gmail one.

I doubt its something the GoDev team can fix, its a plugin google simply withdrew.

Hmm, odd, I had a gmail bubble just a while ago. Seems a bit erratic.
