This is my Home screen, I haven't played with a lot of customization. I'm working on organizing the rest of my screens, and finding new widgets to use on the Eris. (which I am having trouble finding)

I used launcher pro for my home replacement and just added the widgets (home widgets are beautiful home and pure calendar)

kriemhilde00 , I like that your contacts have what I assume are the number of texts or emails from them on their photo icon. Is that a particular app, and what phone is it on?

Actually it's Facebook updates on their profile. Where most of their photos are from as well (if they have that Facebook little logo next to them).
I have the HTC Incredible, and one of the things it does is sync with my Facebook account. So if I add friends on there and sync them with their Facebook profile, it will update their phone numbers, emails, addresses, and birthdays if they have them available on their Facebook.

the downloadable widget is called Launcher Dock. You can make the circles any colour, or use an icon pack and choose an icon. You can also name the docks so it has a label underneath. If you click on it, it shows shortcuts to applications (their icons in a circle, can hold 8) and blurs the screen other than those icons.

I use the stock Power Control widget - but there are several on the market that allow for more controls in a 1x4 widget. Power Widget is one for example...
