Galaxy S2 (I9100 or I9100G) can handle all 3D launcher in play store extremely smooth without any issue.

haven't posted in ages in this thread because I was on GB stock Motoblur for months but recent rooting has me playing again.

My latest Windows Phone Android (WPA)

running launcher 7, rooted Atrix4G with all the bloatware and motoblur frozen/disabled with TiBu, and buttery smooth, no lag. Not using a ROM don't like 'em because they F up some features I need. These 2 screens are just shots of a continuous vertical scroll, no swiping home screens required. I changed up the colours halfway down just as a visual reference cue. The "contacts" tile actually flips a live animation through the pics in my different contacts if you're wondering why it looks weird. Love this launcher though, especially with it running on its own w/o blur behind it. I feel like I've bought a Lumia 900 with a massive app selection

Just passing through and saw this....

Yup, the GS2 handles SPB 3D Shell just fine. Rotation/animation effects are smooth. As others have said though, it's a different "take" on the launcher paradigm and isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Hope this is of help. I will now return to admiring the creativity on show.... keep up the amazing work everyone!

I decided to give Zeam launcher a go. It's not that I am unhappy with the stock launcher, but I just think the dock bar is so... SO ugly! It's this big grey slab and the Ray is such a pretty slim phone. It is almost a shock to see it full screen, because you never notice the real screen dimensions.
I'll see if I stick with this. Too chicken to root anyways. :P

This was more about messing with GIMP than anything else. I modified/extracted bits and pieces from about 4 different wallpapers to make this one.
