I'm like a kid in a candy store, I'm all over this thread like a rash! My two fav themes so far are Ettventer's, fckinfamous™ and shawn1224 - Oh wait, thats three! Haha!
I have one question.... what size do I need to make wallpapers for the HTC Desire - I am keen to put this one
I am unable to locate this wallpaper even if I search in market and appBrain under the author of the battery widgets name
Here is a wallpaper pack I found on deviant art that is very similar, if not the same thing, to the one you're looking for. It comes in a bunch of colors and isn't exactly the right size, but it still works just fine:

I only have the female wallpaper in a 1280x800 if you guys would like that then you could resize..?
For now:
I'm liking this setup, very simple and elegant which is what I was kind of going for.
For the wallpaper, I googled "htc wallpapers" and found that.
The icons on the dock can be found on iconpaper.org, called "Astra"
and the wooden dock is from Deviantart.com
Now when you download those icons, copy them to your SD Card and when you want to change the icon use an application that allows you to change the icon, I use Bettercut from the Market. The icons in my screenshot are very similar to the stock ones that come with LauncherPro Plus.
Edit: This is an option within LauncherPro

Here are pics of my current setup. I keep moving things around and changing widgets to minimize covering up the wallpaper. Looking for a minimalist sort of thing with most apps accessed only through the apps launcher and launcher dock.
Theses are absolutely fantastic....
But have no clue on half of what you all are talking about.
I have my first smartphone and am such a newbie it's pathetic.
Could someone pass along a page, thread or link on the basics to do all
this customization.
I wouldn't even know what to google to find something.
Sorry if this is a redundant question...apologize in advance.

Getting the hang of things finally....
Here are my screens, though they are constantly changing. I am really looking for just the right font but have so far settled on the one shown.
The custom font really makes this theme outstanding.
I'd love to be able to reproduce it. Does it require root access? You mentioned that it takes a bit of trial and error to find a font that "fits" right, did you find any others that worked as well as this one?
I have the HTC evo. i LOVE this look. Can i do it without rooting the phone?
Also... I downloaded the clock app for it, but it is a different font. How did yo get arouind that?
I believe you have to root and run CM6 (cyanogenmod6) for EVO. Same thing with font, you flash it with a recovery image once rooted.

How do i get them to be my icons on my evo?
Also, how do i make things such as the power widget transparent.
I hate to be such a nag with all these questions. im new to android.
Just place the icons on the root of your sd card. I prefer to put them in a folder labeled "icons". You can use bettercut or anycut (free) from market to make icons or launcher pro to make custom dock icons. You won't need root for this
The power widget comes with the theme (minimal matte for CM6) but there are alternatives on the market with transparency settings like switchpro.
Pretty much, you can alter most of it without root save for changing the notification bar and some minor custom settings.
Glad to assist and let me know if there's anything else you need help with.

When I said root of your sd card I just meant transferring it to your sd card (not in any folder) so you know where to locate it, but it doesn't really matter. You can put em anywhere.
I use bettercut so I'm not that familiar with anycut.
To make custom icons using bettercut
long press home screen > shortcuts > better cut > activity > choose your activity (app) > change icon > pick picture (from sd card) > create icon

THANK YOU. I finally figured most of it out. The app you told me didnt work for all the icons i wanted but shortercut did, with an exeption to messages. Luckely i use handcent sms.
I do have 2 last questions. What widget are you using for having your batterylife written out like that. #2 I see you have no words under your icons. I know how to make it wordless, but it still has a bit of a black area were it would normally highlight the words.
Also, when i change the icon on messages, or mail... IT reverts to the old icon after i get a message or mail.
Again, i apologize for being so annoying :/. I apreciate the help.
