Hey niteowl! Good work as always. I have a question for you...
What size transparent png are you using to get the SMS Unread bubbles that big without cutting them off? I've tried it with a
couple of different sizes and it either makes the bubbles really small or cuts off the top of them.

The icons are Suave HD.
Unfortunately I just changed my theme again, so I don't have a screenshot of that setup. However, the following screenshots are identical except for the icons in my notification area.
Right screen
An older setup, but very similar.

Errr... well Im new. Just got my phone about 24 hours ago, but I'm a gadget nerd... so anyway, I'm a big Cowboy fan.
Also a Transformers fan. Had Optimus Prime as my Background but I'm fidgety, can't leave my themes still... So here's my current bg.
Here's it more fluid (made it myself)

Hi Paul
I'm fairly certain I use 72x72 image.
Never experience the issue you raise, both on HD2 and Galaxy!

Flattery will get you everywhere
I posted something similar to this on the Galaxy Tab forum, but never quite liked part of my background. Then I found the 'snail' wall and I knew immediately it had to be added to the 'bee', and it kinda worked out.
Of course Steve Jobs presentation on how superior the iPad2 is to anything Android Tablets bring out, just needed some sort of comeback

It is "make your clock widget" and then uses a cowoon base with the numbers centered and the minutes resized/coloured etc.
It's basically an easy way to get the "bob clock" that's been going around, but without bothering with apk files.
Hope that helps.

Ok so I finally got a little bit more of a hang of it...
But I had to reinstall everything cause my phone I got the other day was tarded.
It keep doing the volume on the back button, and the back button on the volume
button. Had to swap for a new one.

Ok. Found a new app, and had to play with it. Added a single wallpaper to each screen, so I just designed a 1920x480 wallpaper, and divided it up into 6 slices.
Viola.
In the screens here, they look choppy, but they're not on the screen. Can't even see the seams. It flows quite nicely. =D

I can finally post screenshots from my Cappy without rooting!!!! or some other extremely convoluted way.
First up is my lock screen. Using Widget locker, I have the droid unlock bar with slide left to unlock, slide right to direct dial my girlfriend.
The widgets locked to the screen are Simi clock's weather, battery and time, all 3 and resized to fit the 3 column rows.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Next up is my home page. I tried to go for the minimalist look with as little as possible. Same widgets from my lock page. To do the long bar from top to bottom, I make a clock with the bar and placed it at the bottom, then I made a clock with the bar, but transparent time and date, and set it on top. Resized it to drop it all the way down using Launcher Pro Plus.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
And here is one of my icon pages. Nothing special, just took off the names on the app icons. My other pages hold widgets such as DoubleTwist, Weather Channel, Google search with voice, and the LPP calendar
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I did my very best to color match my simi clock widgets to the Android Neon sign in the background. Hope I didn't screw it up too badly. And also, if you were wondering, I auto hide my drop down bar everywhere, from the lock screen to the home pages.

Beautiful setup! Love the fact that everything is accessible from one screen! Wish I'd had some ideas like that. I really like minimalistic styles very much.
Would you mind sharing your modded wallpaper, pretty please?

"I can finally post screenshots from my Cappy without rooting!!!! or some other extremely convoluted way."
Can I ask how you managed to carry it out without rooting or the sdk route?
I know the ability of taking screen shots was bulit into Android 2.3.3 but wasn't aware of any apps that have yet been released that provide you the option on unrooted devices?

They are just text added to the original Wall image.
Bradley Hand ITC is the name of the font.
Sorry, you probably meant the Bubbles, SMS Unread Count from market.
You have to use a transparent.png instead of the default icons.

Thanks Knurps
It actually works well.
The font is Bradley Hand ITC (your PM).
Do you want the Wall with the Window, I'll upload both anyway later.
Will prob do this on XDA soon as I often get errors her when attaching.
Cheers

Sorry, you probably meant the Bubbles, SMS Unread Count from market.
You have to use a transparent.png instead of the default icons.

Yes, the bubbles. Thx!

Can I ask how you managed to carry it out without rooting or the sdk route?
I know the ability of taking screen shots was bulit into Android 2.3.3 but wasn't aware of any apps that have yet been released that provide you the option on unrooted devices?

I got this link from BigCat8
Screen Capture Shortcut Free - Android app on AppBrain
It is a free app and it works pretty well. It saves it to a Screen Capture folder in your Gallery.

Download ShootMe from the Market. Says it's only for rooted phones, but it works with unrooted phones. They have a neat "shake to take a screenshot" feature.

This worked in the case of the Epic 4G UNTIL it got updated to Froyo. Now Shootme has a pop-up to remind the user that he/she needs root access to use the application.
