I was going wrong by choosing attachment instead of using insert image, simple as that.

Played around in photoshop today and this is my new lockscreen. not perfect but its enough for me for now. I'll tweak the colors more later. Lol

Under WL SETTINGS > LOOK & FEEL > BACKGROUND TINT
Then change the bottom tint to transparent (slide slider all the way left)

I mean with the actual slider background image... I have read that you have to mod the .apk to do it, but I don't really wanna do that if I don't have to.

To hopefully explain a little better... the entire slider background in this pic I would like to be transparent and the icon to be the glassJAw logo

I can change the slider icon to the glassJAw logo, but the background image can't be changed in settings that I have seen

Let's see if I can help you out here...

Here's the largest version I found. It's 1680x1050 and should be large enough to use as a desktop wallpaper for most monitors.

I also made a version with the flower centered that should be more suitable for phone use (although in the original resolution). If you need this sized exactly for your phone, let me know. Make sur you get it saved full size.

Ok, I understand what u mean now. I DID mod my apk but its easier to just use different WL themes. Unfortunately I didnt realize that til AFTER I modded my apk lol but now, I just use themes and I mix and match the slider & bground images to get the custom look I want. If u have a specific slider u want and can send it to me, id be happy to put it together for u in a wl-theme if u need with a transparent background.

Is something like this what u mean u want? (ignore the battery staus, I just didnt feel like removing it lol.) If thats what youre looking for, I put the images in a wltheme.zip for u. u can edit them as u like

I can build the themes myself (it's easier seeing as I'll be changing it up alot) can you just explain (in full on idiot form) where to put the theme and if there is a certain way to name it? Also what size is the background of the slider?
I'm tempted to use a transparent slider icon and glassJAw as a background image

Which version of WL are you using? Im using the latest paid version 2.01 I think. If so, the themes go on your sdcard in the data folder.
data> com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker> themes folder. If youre using the old WL version (that doesnt have themes) then you actually have to mod the apk.

Since Ive been playing in PS today. Heres what my screens are looking like now. modified the wallpaper (added the books and phone) and created the dock and icons myself, minimalistic text, custom analog clock, fancy weather. And yes Niteowl, I know Im the Queen of Color lol. I cant help it.

Correct. Just long press and remove your current slider. Long press and select add custom slider and choose one of the themes thats are listed in the drop down. It even gives u a preview at the top of what the slider looks like. If u need some other themes. Check THIS thread in XDA. They have tons.

Yep. Ive got the blue apk and another color. I dont remember if its green or red lol. I need all the other colors of the rainbow. As much as i change my screens 2 colors isnt enough but I cant edit xml files to save my life LMAO

Actually the reason most cant get the background to show up is bc they arent saving it in correct 3.png format. Took me forever to figure it out lol. Thats why I gave u the one in the zip bc u can just use that one whenever u need a transparent background

Also make sure your folder name and zip theme name are identical. I made that mistake before too. good luck sweetie!

after extracting your zip to have a look (almost sounds dirty that) i've not got the preview file there... is that going to affect it? that's the only thing different (i even originally saved it as _3.png) it's odd i must say

well naturally. The Queen of hearts is direct dial to the Queen Debbie.

And just to clarify, I got the wallpaper off wallbase . Only thing s i did was modded the dockbar, some icons (a few invisible ones also,) and changed the colors on the battery circle and clock.. No way I have the talent to make a wall paper like that. At least not yet. LOL

Lol, it's how you use the original wallpaper (as superb as many of them are), combined with everything that makes it appealing.
