Post your Android Desktop
You all know how this works. Post a picture of your Android's desktop.
There's 2 ways to do this:
With root
1) Download the Screenshot application (free).
2) Open the application, give it su permission, and once the text comes up, close it.
3) Press and hold the camera button for a second at the home screen. The camera application will pop up after a second with a Toast that tells you where the screenshot is saved. Whalah.
Without root
1) Install the Android SDK
2) Enable USB debugging on your device
3) Run DDMS from the tools directory
4) Select your phone from the list
5) Go in the menu, select Device, and then Screen capture. Whalah.
Here's mine (aHome + OS X theme)
I know, I know, Apple. Also, I think the funky left border is from aHome, can anyone confirm?

Here's mine! I'm using aHome full version. I think its worth paying for
left screen

center/main screen

right screen
that weird bar in the leftmost part of the picture is really irritating. I'm sure it's all aHome's fault. >:/

That one apparently requires a rooted phone and mine isn't rooted, and in the first post you mentioned about one that would work with a non rooted phone.

As far as I know (I may be wrong though,) none of the home replacements require you to have root to take screenshots.
Also, the DDMS route works without root, but is a bit more work.

@theway2live did you make your theme yourself? I'm interested in changing the soft keyboard on my phone and was curious how you managed that.
@cptgemini there currently isn't a free screenshot/capture application in the market. I did a google search on my phone for "screenshot.apk" and found one available for download through rapidhost (I think?) but you need apk/package installer on your phone and I'm not sure if that's root only?

Just thought maybe it was iPhone like app where a bookmark on the home screen converts the fave icon. I still don't get why this simple thing can't be done natively.
Thanks for the offer, no need right now.

I use a program called BetterCut and also downloaded an icon set from the market. This enables you to change the icons.

How did you get your apps to organize like that on your last pic? Is it just a part of your theme or is there an app that can do that?

its a feature of dxtop, when u long press on any app u get the option to set assign a category for it, then when ur in the app drawer u can change the view from normal, alphabetically, categories, install date, file size etc etc. u can also hide applications too, like themes and font packs. quite handy tbh

Here's a couple of my screens, I turned off Sense UI on my Hero and switched to home, kept it kinda simple but it still looks sexy:
