finally.....its only take like two days messing bout with widgets and apps and new launchers etc...but I THINK I have a setup now for that tiled wallpaper beamy...

I give you three links...one of the desktop how it is, one of a mockup I did to show the layout and one of the non sized FULL wallpaper so you can work on it directly..

EDIT: I have made a far better version now to the above 'mockup' that im actually running on the phone now...but I do feel it can be done FAR better...so im waiting to see how much better yours is over mine lol...also mine took bout 20 minutes of cutting and pasting then 'buttonizing' to hide the bad edges lol I REALLY was just looking to mock something up rather than a finished article..

its definitely clearer than my attempt thats for sure..

the only changes needed are the far left and far right hand sides of the 'tiles' need to be a little wider as the outside edge widgets are JUST on the edge and you lose the effect...

also the 'media' style widget with music, games and media in, the right hand side of that widget needs to be widened a little as well as the media icon just overlaps it a little...also im guessing the weather widget one will need to be stretched to fit with it as well

EDIT: nevermind...its working now lol now to check how it looks..

EDIT 2: oh yeaaaaaaaaaa MUCH better than mine....I mean I liked the 'kinda' 3D button effect I put it...but that was really to hide the bad edges because I'd basically put lines round ALL the widgets/icons then copy pasted sections of the original wallpaper over the top of them...so the edges were bad hence my effect on it...

but damn beamy you done it again...much more professional style looking one...and I liked how you grouped the travel and office icons in the bottom right corner...guessing you did that because too many little square tiles were looking a little out of place? least thats how I see it..

but seriously, you are good with this eyebeam...like I said mine was 'passable' but your version was so much cleaner and just more well done..

I will say that this was the biggest and most ANNOYING as a bitch set up to do...spent the last 2 days (well not 2 WHOLE days lol) messing bout mostly with calendar widgets...because im running a 6x5 size screen with no dock, some calendar widgets were coming out WAY too small in resolution etc...but luckily after alot of trial and error found "Smooth calendar"...as well as the awesome "Message Centre Plus" which really changes up the notifications alot...yea I could of used the normal ADW notifications but wanted something different and after using MCP trial I thought sod it and bought it...and I dont often buy many apps I just use the free ones..

so yea...thanks again beamy the ONLY changes I will probably make on this for a while are just changing the actual background itself, not the tile effect but just the metal look or colour etc...but thats not for at LEAST 3 days

I'll see what I can do, but 1 of those is pretty small, and 2 others are small and in the wrong aspect ratio, so I'm not sure how good the results will be. Give me a bit here and check back.

I have a Thunderbolt, and I use wallpaper centering app so that it doesnt scroll. I prefer darker colors, as I try to match my whole theme. I also use the Darkhorse theme for my phone ontop of the Future world theme for GOLauncher.

Sure, I can do something for ya. From your post, I assume you want something fairly simple, right?

One question before I get started - I'm not sure how the app you're using handles the non-scrolling wallpaper. So, do you want it 960x800 (normal wallpaper size) withe the logos centered, or 480x800?

Get back to me and I should have it done sometime later today/tonight.

Thanks a lot! These are wonderfull. By the way the Nook Color seems to want to crop pictures to be the proper ratio for scrolling even when you select not to scroll the wallpaper in settings. To get around this I found a great app called Wallpaper Wizardrii if anyone else has this problem with their NC.

If I had known that that's how the NC handled it, I would have centered the same pics on a full size Nook wallpaper (I'm pretty sure then you wouldn't have to crop them for a single screen, right?). But, you found a good solution and I'll file it away for future reference. Thanks for letting me know.

Ha! Yeah, I guess those are getting a little long in the tooth now. And it's fitting that you used that one for about a minute, about the same amount of time Chad was good!

I thought about doing another series, especially now that it's looking a little hopeful that we'll actually have football this year, but it was a lot of work for not much (as far as I know) use. Maybe I'll make one template one and let people know it can be adapted to other teams.

Well, being a Dolphins fan, I can say that Cameron Wake would be my first choice. Dudes a BEAST. Currently my favorite player. Other candidates would be Jake Long, Koa Misi, Devonne Bess, Richie Incognito, or you could alwayys go with old faithfuls like Marino, the Mark brothers, Bryan Cox, Zach Thomas, or Surtain. But whatever you do, dont ever put that traitor dance boy in Phins colors. lol. By that I obviously mean Jason Taylor. :-P

Ok, so I'm still confused here: Do you want a Jason Taylor one or not? JK. If I did another Phins one, yeah, it'd probably be Wake.

I actually thought a lot about doing ones featuring team greats, but finding quality, hi-res pics of the old timers, even hall of famers, proved to be a lot more difficult than I thought. That put the brakes on that idea pretty quickly.

as in maybe no the dark steel texture but maybe some lighter metal or something? I want to keep the exact same layout...just the darkness of it and the metal is kinda grating on me a lil..

You just want the flames one re-tinted? You quoted 3 of 'em, but the other 2, I doubt there's much I can do there color wise. I'd guess that wouldn't be a problem, although I haven't tried and sometimes they do unexpected things when I mess with them - we'll see. I take it you'd want that as a whole wallpaper?

The cracked wall: Change the white to black and red to blue
The veiny one: Switch the grey to blue? Now that I look over it again I dont think that will work. haha.

I use the 480x800 still, so these actually look like they might fit perfect. No need to resize.
