Default Google TV with RCA

I want to buy a google tv for my mom so she can use it to watch netflix and listen to pandora and stuff but the tv she has is old and only has the Red White and Yellow (i think they're called rca). I also want it to be a pass though like the Vizio Co-Star. Im not sure if all are but the ones I find that have rca on the back don't have a input labeled so im not sure. I was gonna get the co-star and a hdmi to rca converter but they're like $40 which combined is like $170. I would like a cheaper option if possible so i was just curious if anybody here knew of one.
-Thanks

No GTV has pass-through for analogue video like composite (RCA).

Although it costs a lot more at $299 it might be a better idea to get a smart tv from Vizio, nice TV with Netflix and Hulu built in directly. Less complex and no need to worry about switching inputs.

The UI of Vizio GoogleTV is not designed for analogue video displays which is another factor to consider.

The cheapest option would be an AndroidTV device, you could plug this into the TV running Android 2.3/4 and it might be good enough over analogue but these arent the most user friendly of systems.

Hi,

I must disagree with next121, there are lot of solutions with analogue audio video output. Just check in device specs for cvbs or composite a/v output.

They are usually using 3.5mm connector with special cable to provide you 3 colour connectors. White and red color is right/left audio and yellow is video signal.

Visson atv-102 (aka atv-108 rev 2) for example is device that provides analogue output.

Sorry for typos if any, i'm on cellphone

Regards

Android TV devices are not GoogleTV devices they are separate platforms. The gen2 GoogleTV devices are primarily HDMI only.

Your Vission ATV-102 is just another Android tablet stuck on a TV screen (similar to the one I linked to) it is not a GoogleTV device.
