Notsure Android 4. ice cream sandwich partition issues?

So I hooked up a brand new android media player, love it.
I thought something was wrong with my 8 gig sd card, cause it only showed a 2 gb sd card.

As it turns out, the internal memory seems to be divided into an internal memory, and a built in sd card memory.

This means that I ran out of memory for programs, and you can't move any programs onto a real sd card, because it only tries to move them to the internal 2 gb sd card.

Is there a way to disable the internal 2 gb virtual sd card, so I can just use my actual 8 gb sd card?

What exacly is the point of all this?

See this topic, I answered there how to solve the issue.

Point of having 'internal sdcard' which is actually nand parition is that you don't need to have physical sdcard. Some apps require sdcard to work (eg. Google Earth).
