Default flashing - how far can you go?

so i flashed my i5801 with i5800 software/ROM and was wondering how far you can go with this?
could you say, flash a galaxy apollo 3 with galaxy s software?
could you flash it with htc software? etc...

It will not work unless you modify the Rom to work with the Apollo hardware since the Galaxy S and HTC phones have different hardware and specs (resolution for example).

In other words, it is possible but not worth your time seeing how many custom Roms are out there for the Apollo.

If you tried flashing an HTC or Galaxy S firmware to your apollo you'd completely fry your phone. It'd turn into a paper weight. The drivers are completely different, and not at all made for the apollo. Don't try it!
