Sharing apps?

I made an app for my Droid Incredible and it went GREAT, but i tried to put it on my coworker's Droid Eris and EPIC FAIL!

I tried to put it on two different ways. First i tried emailing the apk and it said it couldn't compile the file on her phone. Second I had her scan the barcode but it directed us to Google app inventor (i'm assuming this is because she isn't signed up to "invent apps")

Anybody else have this problem?

Little back story that probably isn't necessary but my INC. is rooted to 2.2 and her Eris has 2.1 leak

exact issue happened with me and my friend, i have an inc, he has an eris. weird. tried both the apk in gmail ( i think this is a known issue with any apk in gmail) and also the bar code... but i think the bar code is JUST for your phone. So have you tried just moving the apk over by usb?
