Default No targets when creating AVD

Hi, using ubuntu 10.04, installed eclips and the sdk.
When i try to create an AVD there ar no targets in the dropdownmenu, no targets either when i try "andoid list targets"

as i can see the $PATH is correctly set to the tools-directory

anyone have any idea what I have missed?

Did you update and download the files from google (from within eclipse)? There is a screen to download all the different targets -- 1.5 through 2.2.
