Default Android's DeviceAdminSample wipe data

When I run the DeviceAdminSample on my emulator, and press the 'Wipe Data' button, it shows the 'Shut Down' pop up but then it just freezes on that screen. I have to close the emulator window and restart my emulator. The next time I start the emulator, my data is still there, though.

My question is, how do I get the wipe data function from the DeviceAdminSample to work. Thanks!
