Default Trying to send a external file to Android Emulator

Hi,

I tried to send an external file to android emulator using push and pull commands of adb tool. But these files are sending to SDCard.
Even i tried to cofigure SDCard in emulator, but it doesnt give me any luck to find transfered files in emulator.

Gallery is only showing 'No Media Found'.

Could anyone please give me correct pointer how can i transfer files to android emualtor and where can i find those files.

Also i have one doubt that is android doesnt have its own primary memory.
I searched a lot from net,got only posts explaining commands to create SDCard and to transfer files to it.But i want to transfer files to its own memory.
I would be very much gald if anyone helps on this problem.
I have been trying this for last 4 months.

Thanks
Sumita

Default What platform and IDE?

If you are using Eclipse and running the emulator while debugging an application, you should be able to use DDMS in the GUI (Window -> Open Perspective -> Other... -> DDMS) to access the internal memory of the emulated device.

Hi Vikash,

Thanks for your reply.
I tried that too.
If i transfer the file,
1- android stores in SD memory card. But i want to save in memory of mobile itslef. Is it possible to save external file in mobile's memory so that we can get this file in a gallery ?

2- When i transferred the file, it found file in DDMS but permissions are denied to write

Please anyone help me to come out of this problem.

Thanks,
Sumita

1. Install File Explorer application in your emulator by adb as explained above.
2. Close your running emulator
3. Go to installation folder for SDK \android\.android\avd
4. You will see a folders named your emulator you just created
5. Open the folder then you will see sdcard.img file
6. Open the file by UltraISO.
7. Drag and drop any file you want to copy, save and close UltraISO
8. Run your emulator again then open File Explorer you just installed it from your emulator.
9. KISS ME!
