Default Can't add SDK's location into ADT in Eclipse 3.7

'm trying to set up my first Android development environment: Eclipse 3.7
Debian Squeeze
Android SDK r12 linux x86
I've set up the path in ADT plugin on Eclipse to the SDK directory but when I click Apply I get this error:
parseSdkContent failed
java.lang.NullPointerException
As in this this two box errors:

I've tried re-installing Eclipse, getting another version, changing from JDK 1.6 to 1.5 but none of these solutions seems to work! Any ideas of how to fix this?
