Question Re: ICS Tablet (System Keys)
I have a bit of an odd question that is program related.
Currently I am using the Asus Transformer Prime tablet loaded with ICS 4.0.3 and I have found several games that have a small issue. Because of the touch screen nature of the tablets system keys there is a back button on the bottom left of the screen.
If this happens to be hit in game a level will exit straight away without any prompting from the software.
Now the question is:
Can programmers control these system buttons? At least to the point the game detects the key has been hit and a popup appears asking if you want to exit the level?
The reason I ask is that some developers are saying they have no control over these keys and can do nothing about it!
Which seems odd to me, especially considering I know that Lane Splitter has some form of control in the sense that if the back key gets hit the games goes into pause mode and then a popup appears asking if you wish to exit the level.
So are some developers pulling a fast one or can nothing really be done with these keys?
