Install Android x86 emulator for your PC in less than 5 minutes
When I tried my hand at developing Android apps a few months ago I noticed that the built-in SDK emulator was pretty lacking. It felt extremely laggy and just didn't respond the way I was expecting it to. Looking for something that would behave a bit better I stumbled upon the Android-x86 emulator the other day.
I created a video yesterday showing how to install Android-x86 in VirtualBox in less than 5 minutes. IMHO it's a lot smoother than the stock emulator that comes with the Android SDK. All you need to get started is a copy of VirtualBox and the most recent EeePC .iso file from android-x86.org -- then just follow along with the video.
I figured the developer section would be the best place to share this. I searched the forum for a recent thread on this topic and didn't find anything recent, so rather than resurrect an old thread I thought I'd start this new one. If that's not the case, I apologize in advance.
