Default How to push sms messages over to a PC

Hello. I've been playing around with Eclipse for a few days. It's quite challenging since I'm an infrequent hobbyist coder (I briefly had a job as a C++ developer 10 years ago). I'm afraid I'll spend 256 days banging my head against the wall, only to have someone say, why don't you just do X? So here's my one very specific need. I want to plug my phone into my PC's USB and have my incoming text messages transfer over in real time. Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

(Ultimately, I imagine giving a (public speaking) presentation to a large group, and their SMS commentary would display overlaid).

Thanks.
