Hey guys I'm new here, so not sure if I'm in the right area or not.

So I've been brainstorming an idea and working out what I think the best solutions would be. A part of the overall process would require an Android App.

If you could help me, by shedding some light on whether or not my goals for the app are doable.

Here is what it would need to accomplish:
- Simple UI that would have a password box and a "Beam Me Up" button
- After entering a password and hitting the "Beam Me Up" button, the app would create a SHA256 hash from the password
- It would then take the hash and insert it into a NDEFMessage and transfer in out via my NFC chip.
- The message sent out would always need to be 100% indentical if the same pw is continuously used.


*It wouldn't need any 2way communication between sender and receiver. Just sending the message out is good enough.

**Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Any better ideas than what I've come up with so far would be awesome as well!!!

***Note - This would be the first step in a silly process of using my Samsung Galaxy S2 to start my motorcycle. The NDEFMessage would be received by a NFC card attached to a arduino board that would be programmed to look for only the specific hash associated with my password. If that hash checked out true, it would then send a 5v signal out the the various components to actually start the bike.

Yes it is doable. It's a great idea, however be aware that NFC has a VERY short range. Like, it needs to be almost touching the receiver. If you wish to have a bit more range, Bluetooth would probably be a better option.
