Default Error: No suitable java found...

Ok, trying to install the android SDK on my win 7 x64 laptop and I get this error:

Warning: Java not found in your path
checking it it's installd in c:\program files (x86)\Java instead

Error: no suitable java found. In order to properly use the Androids Developer Tools, you need a suitable version of Java installed on your system. where to download etc etc...

I have the java se sdk installed so I really don't know what the problem is.

Any Advice?

Sadly, the sdk installed just fine on my little netbook.

Default Android SDK installation error: Java not found

I am having the same problem! I just downloaded both the JDK 6 and the android sdk for windows today. When I launch the sdk manager, it says that java was not found. I am assuming there might be something wrong with my Path(s) within my system variables...?

I am a young student, eager to learn programming on my own. So sorry if this is a rookie question. I'll appreciate any help! Thank you
