Hi,

I'm looking for a dance dance revolution or guitar hero type of game, and I was thinking how can this type of games to have more songs?

My idea is an app that plays any song/mp3, auto-generates taps based on the wavelength (or maybe the beats) of any song, counts the correct beats for score, then saves highscores maybe.

so that it would not rely on developer to release more songs for the game, because it can play any song from the phone's SD card?

is this a great idea? will this work? and will the generated taps follow the song's rhythm? hope this is possible..

its possible (see AudioSurf for PC/ AudioSurf Tilt for Zune HD), but it would take a lot of skill and patience to make.
