Chinese handwriting recognition software (conversion from Java)

hi guys, is there anyone interested in Chinese handwriting recognition software development for Android? Probably it wouldn't take much effort for experienced developer because I have found Java app called HanziDict, there is source code available. I hope it would be only matter of conversion to Android. What do you think, is it that easy or am I wrong?

Are you interested in producing this application? It may cost around $1500 for development.

It would be really nice if Android phones had this feature, it would make the iphone become less competitive.
