Hello everybody i am new to these forums and this is my first post. I bring u a very good idea of an app but i am no dev. so i need to know if this is possible and how i could be able to do it.

ok so this is the idea.... when we get our phones taken away in my school, they have the right to go through it. i know it sounds really crazy. recently one of my buddies was searched because they found something about tobacco in his txts... (Please don't respond with 'oh u shouldn't write bad things in txt' or whatever because this is a serious matter.) My idea was that if i could assign a button to hold or even two buttons to hold that first sends automated txt to their choice of contacts saying that their phone has been taken away and right after that sequence, the phone automatically deletes all the messages threads in the messaging app. Maybe if that is successful then i want to include password to change app settings or to even open the app. i hope to see my app grow and improve in future so please help me out.

as a starter app dev i have no clue what to do or even if this is possible. (P.S. i was influenced from the 'wipe data' feature from the Lookout Mobile security app)

Some app developers do not like to develop apps there are meant to 'deceive' someone or institution or whatever. Android is created to better your everyday lives but not to such questionable intent.

this is for a good intent for me.... i don't want my friends getting kicked out because they said something in their own personal phone... the school even gives suspension to kids who 'insult' other kids on their phone or Facebook or something....
Ex. a kid said something to this girl that he didn't like on Facebook and the school saw that from his phone Facebook and told him to apologize to her in front of the whole school and be friends with her from now on or if he doesn't want to do that its a suspension and academic probation for him. The school said that next time he will get kicked out. Keep in mind that this is high school and this kid is a senior . its not lower school that it makes sense to punish the little kids for saying bad things.
how is that their business at all? its not. they have no right to interfere with students' personal lives. The School isn't bad for rules... they are just pushing it way further than it needs to be so please don't think this is for bad intent.

Hi there. I came across this thread, and thought this would be a good idea. The app you requested is in progress.

Features that will be on it are:

-Service listening for a certain button press to delete all your texts
-The app will listen for a certain "key" that you define, and when you text your phone that key, it will automatically delete all of your texts, no matter where you are.
-This key will be password protected, so that only you know it.

I'm also considering adding a widget that you can add to your homepage for a quick one click delete.

I'm open to any other features that you would like to see added to this app.
