Default create new note button in call display

I would really like a button on the in call display or the in call menu to take a note or creates a txt file with the callers number or contact details as the title.
there was a similar function in windows mobile 6 to take a new note while in call, something along those lines would be great.

Thanks.

I'm sure Sense UI can do this. I am currently using "dialer one" app and that can a reminder to calendar which is useful it would be great if the note could be added to evernote or Astrid

There used to be an app called Call Filter for the Treo that did just this, it would create the note in the contact card of the person you were speaking to and display these notes whenever they rang, very easy way to remember previous conversations.

Smile I might be interested.

Just take a note? And then what? How is this different from the last calls menu that every phone has?

I'm asking because I might be interested in developing such an app. I am looking for a first project to learn the ropes. This could be interesting.

I'd like it so that you could take a note directly after the call, the note got stored in the notes section of the contact and then when that person called again i'd like all those notes to be displayed.

When you’re in a call a new note button would be displayed and then if for instance the person you where talking to gave you an address or phone number tap the new note button take down the info and the resulting note would have a the title of the caller’s number (or name if in your contacts) date and time.
This is how it used to work on Windows mobile 6 and was very useful.
Storing the note as a text file on the sd card would be good enough for me but I also like DannyVandal's suggestion of storing in the notes section of the contact who is calling.

Tongue Back online

Hey all, just wanted to update you that I'm back. Was sick a few days, and my day job was very demanding on top of that.

OK I found the Notes in the contact editor. But then you won't really have a title and body text, all I can give you in that case is a first line that would look like the rest of the note with the requested data (like date time). Would you prefer it integrate in here or as a more capable note with a title? I am pretty sure using the existing notes would be easier for me.

I'm currently developing a note-app ... what you mentioned is on my priority-list ... but as it is a hobby-project, it could take a month or so ...

I haven't forgotten about you lot, just need to update my subscription prefs! It's really annoying as I still have my Treo but no power lead, could've fired up Call filter and given you some more pointers. I personally would like the notes integrated with the contact, if not directly in the note field then linked in some other way.
