Default Barcode Scanner: A must have for all Android phones

The Barcode Scanner app is one that you simply can not pass up. Not only can you use this app to scan products while you are shopping, but if you pair it with the "Shopper"
app by Google inc. you can compare local prices and even find an items availability. Barcode Scanner also allows you to do a web search of products to find user reviews or even information on a products specs. One of the biggest advantages is the ability to scan and use QR Codes which can contain a URL to download an app, contact info, even events. You can find these QR codes all over the internet and on a lot of developers sites to promote their product. Here is an example of a QR code this one is for the Shopper app I mentioned earlier.

The real story is if you have an Android based phone this app is a time and money saver definiatly a must have.

Using the app on phandroid.com for a QR code

This is what it looks like when you scan a QR code and your options

Visit the above link to download AdmetryQR app. There would be no need for a barcode scanner, Just open the camera click on the QR code and ...Voila!!

QR codes are not that common in the UK yet, although I have seen them on parcels.
