Default Device slowing down

Has anyone else noticed their 101's slowing down? I've had mine since Christmas and it has never been lightning fast, but I accept this as it's a budget tablet. However I was using it yesturday and it was just sooo slow doing anything, which is especially annoying when typing.

I've tried removing apps but obviously I installed them for a reason so don't want to just remove them all. My main use of the device is probably to watch movies on, I had a 30gb micro sd card in it with about 10gb's worth of movies on. Since it tends to update the multimedia library when it boots up, the first minute or so I find it better to leave it be or things start crashing.

I use launcher pro as it runs smoother than the default launcher and that often crashes if I try and do things too soon on start up.

Has anyone else encountered any of these issues?

I think the idea behind the design was to make it slow and cheap.
