Arnova 10b G3

Has anyone in UK successfully been able to make this model talk to Google Play by changing the firmware etc?
I've been give one for my 72nd. birthday but it doesn't connect to the vast Playstore.
Be grateful for any guidance from experts.

I'm not sure if the 7 and 10 G3 are the same but I got Google Market installed on my Arnova 7 G3 by going to the Forum "forum.archosfans.com" and following the instructions in the following post

Install Market v3.4 on Arnova 7 G2 without root or flashing

Go to Freaktab.com and in the main forum under ROM Developer's Kitchen, look up Custom ROM's by Finless Bob. Under the Arnova section he has a rooted ROM for the 10bG3 that comes with Google Play installed. It's in beta, but it really speeds up the Arnova hardware.

Just look over all the posts and you can tell what all he has included so far.
