Has anyone rooted the HTC aria without failure

Yes, use the unrevoked method. It's not hard just take your time and go step by step.

I agree use this method! SUPER SUPER easy! The hardest part for me was removing all of my previous drivers then manually installing the new ones. I had my drivers and folders configured for another Android device.

Once you get the drivers installed correctly the whole thing should take you around 15min to root it and backup your stock rom. Backing up the stock rom is super important! If you do brick your phone then you will be able to recover it
